AllUnity’s EURAU, a MiCA-compliant, euro-backed stablecoin supported by financial giants Deutsche Bank and DWS Group, is going multichain — a move set to strengthen Europe’s position in the evolving tokenized finance landscape.

According to an announcement shared with Cointelegraph on Thursday, the EURAU stablecoin will integrate Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP), enabling secure and seamless transfers across leading blockchain ecosystems including Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base, Optimism, Polygon, and Solana. The company also confirmed future plans to bring EURAU to the Canton Network, an enterprise-grade blockchain purpose-built for institutional finance.

AllUnity CEO Alexander Höptner described the integration as a key step toward cross-chain interoperability for institutional-grade digital assets. “By leveraging Chainlink’s CCIP, EURAU will be able to operate seamlessly across multiple blockchains,” Höptner said. “This expansion not only enhances the stablecoin’s usability but also supports Europe’s transition toward tokenized capital markets.”

From Chainlink’s side, Fernando Vazquez, president of banking and capital markets at Chainlink Labs, emphasized that the collaboration represents a pivotal advancement for the region’s financial infrastructure. “AllUnity is building the foundation for the next generation of tokenized finance across Europe,” he said, highlighting CCIP’s role as the connective layer for a unified, multichain economy.

Launched as a Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA)-compliant stablecoin, EURAU is fully backed by euro reserves and designed primarily for enterprise-grade applications such as B2B payments, onchain treasury operations, and real-time settlement. The stablecoin aims to bridge traditional banking reliability with blockchain efficiency — a fusion that could accelerate institutional adoption of digital assets across regulated environments.

Connecting Europe’s Stablecoin Ecosystem

Chainlink’s CCIP serves as a universal communication framework between blockchains, allowing secure transfer of data, tokens, and messages across diverse ecosystems. This enables decentralized applications (dApps) and smart contracts to interact seamlessly between chains, removing long-standing interoperability barriers.

AllUnity’s focus on Europe is rooted in its powerful institutional backing. DWS, one of Germany’s largest asset managers, reported €1.01 trillion ($1.67 trillion) in assets under management as of March 31, 2025. Meanwhile, Deutsche Bank, one of Europe’s oldest and most influential banking institutions, holds approximately $1.647 trillion in assets, according to Companies Market Cap.

In July 2025, AllUnity secured its regulatory license from BaFin (the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority), allowing it to issue EURAU in full compliance with the MiCA framework. This approval positions EURAU among the first regulated euro stablecoins authorized for broad institutional and enterprise use within the European Union.

As Europe accelerates toward digital finance regulation, EURAU’s expansion via Chainlink could become a model for compliant, interoperable stablecoin infrastructure — one that aligns with the EU’s broader goal of fostering innovation without compromising oversight.
