NFT sales totaled $91.96 million during September 1–7, 2025, the lowest weekly reading since mid-June, according to Cointelegraph’s report using CryptoSlam data.
The report recorded 199,821 unique buyers and 145,877 sellers, compared with 487,264 buyers and 258,803 sellers during June 16–22. Calculated from those figures, the declines were approximately 59% and 44%, respectively.
Smaller sales, continued transactions
Reported average sale value fell from more than $104 during much of August to approximately $72 in early September. The dataset still recorded about 1.27 million transactions during the September week.
Transaction count is different from participant count: the same address can transact repeatedly. These figures therefore should not be read as 1.27 million individual collectors.
A comparison with clear limits
The buyer and seller comparisons use a June week, while the average-price comparison uses August. They do not describe identical measurement periods.
The snapshot supports a decline in recorded spending and participation over the periods cited. It does not, on its own, show whether an art exhibition, a particular blockchain or a change in investor sentiment caused the movement.
Editor’s note: Rounded percentage declines have been recalculated from the cited counts. Comparison periods are explicit, and unsupported explanations of the change have been removed.
